What We Do
We are an independent bookstore devoted entirely to mysteries, and the largest mystery bookstore in Manhattan. We feature a complete selection of new titles as well as a broad array of our recommendations, classics, and out-of-print books.

Recommendations
We are known for our ability to match people with books they'll enjoy; so if you are an experienced mystery reader or just starting out and love mysteries, Partners & Crime is the bookseller for you. Over 85% of our sales are to repeat and referral customers.

Authors
Almost every year since we opened for business in 1994, more than 150 authors visited our store each year for both readings and casual signings, so many of our books are signed. Our upcoming author events are listed in the Author Signings section and you are invited to our store to meet the author and have your book signed. If you are unable to attend we can ship the signed book to you. We long  maintained a list of authors who frequent and support the store on our website until it became so large that our webserf elected to link directly to the Mystery Writers of America site. We do want to thank all of the writers and publishers who have made this so much fun. Please come and see us whenever you come to New York!

Events
Other regular events include live performances of Classic Radio Plays by WWOW Radio Theater troupe. We host the MWA Annual Meeting in January, host a limited number of reading groups and occasionally Writers' Forums where panels of writers, editors, and agents share their experiences and advice with you.

First Editions
We continuously publish our First Editions inventory online (more than three thousand unique titles) at AbeBooks, Alibris, Biblio and on Amazon. Book collectors and dealers have come to recognize our expertise in picking the best of new crime novels most likely to appreciate in value. Our new author recommendations have appreciated 500% in the last three years.

We Buy Mystery Books
We also buy collections of mystery books. We prefer to buy quality first printings of US and UK titles in excellent condition. We also constantly search to replenish the shelves of our popular out-of-print collection. We will gladly travel to examine a sizable collection and would be most happy to make you a favorable offer for your book collection.

Library
If you live in the neighborhood, our Lending Library is a great way to read the newest quality hardcovers at below-paperback prices. Our out-of-print shelves offer a broad selection of those elusive titles that publishers (sadly) no longer keep in print.

Physical Store
We invite you to visit our store and avail yourself of our expert and friendly customer service, our attractive appealing ambience, and our comfy chairs. We are located in Greenwich Village at 44 Greenwich Avenue, corner of Charles between 6th and 7th Avenues.
